2013 Season Predictions: 2014 NFL Draft

Well, now that all my predictions for this upcoming season, including the playoffs and the Super Bowl, are in, just for those who are curious, here's how the picks would be allotted for the 2014 NFL Draft. Picks are allotted to the teams with the worst records first, and then are given to playoff teams based on how far they advance in the playoffs. Picks will be subject to change due to trades as well as some other factors. Written in parentheses to the side is how a team's draft position has changed compared to the allotted picks for the 2013 Draft (trades changed the order once the Draft began).

Note: If a team ends the season with the same record as another team, their relative strength of schedule will be used to determine selection order. The team that had an easier schedule will get to pick first. To determine order this article will use relative strength of schedule based on the predicted results of the 2013 season.

5. Buffalo Bills : 6-10 (-3)

8. Cleveland Browns : 7-9 (+2)

9. Tennessee Titans : 7-9 (-1)

10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers : 7-9 (-3)

Congrats to the Chiefs on working their way up to close to the middle of the draft board after picking number one overall just a year ago. Andy Reid and Alex Smith should do wonders to help turn that team around this season. It would be pretty hard to fault the Ravens for dropping in the draft since they were Super Bowl Champions last year and still won a playoff game according to these predictions. The Chargers will likely receive more criticism if such a steep fall were to occur in reality, as it likely means Philip Rivers could be shown the door and a new quarterback could be coming in to San Diego with pick four.
