Vikings Re-Sign Fred Evans
Well, it's not the news most were expecting Thursday afternoon, but it's the news that we got.
Defensive tackle Fred Evans was re-signed to a one-year contract by the Vikings today, according to multiple sources.
Evans has been a solid rotational nose tackle for the Vikings, and he and Linval Joseph to combine to form a good rotational duo at defensive tackle.
Evans' age prevents the Vikings from committing to him long term, but he was likely viewed as necessary depth by the Vikings.
Evans contract is only for one-year and $1 million (only!), as the going rate for older rotational linmean isn't exactly that high.
Will this be the only news we see today?
Stay tuned, Vikings fans.
